Ahh... Daniel son!

Crea had the big 4th grade play today! The name of it was "On We Go To Idaho." There was a pioneer family going west to the great state of Idaho. On the way they ran in to Indians, Loggers, and other pioneers. Crea was the son in the pioneer family, Daniel (hence the title... Daniel son). He did so great!! We were so proud of him, especially since he missed the last couple of days of rehearsal due to strep throat! We got him well enough to go though and he did great! He was a little too natural at the southern accent... we wondered where that came from! It was really great to see him excel! Good job Monkey! We love you!!

*Disclosure: My professional camera is my cell phone so again sorry about the pictures... someday I will get a real pro. camera!! And Thanks to Diane B Photography for the good pics!

Happy Birthday to Crea!!

My baby boy is 10 years old today. I can't believe it! As I was laying awake at 4:30 this morning (after Cam had gone to work) I couldn't help remember what I was feeling at this exact time ten years earlier. My appointment to be induced was a 5am, and Cam, being Cam, gave me time to reflect on what was happening while he got ready to take me to the hospital. I remember sitting in my rocking chair feeling Crea kick all over thinking in a few short hours this feeling will be gone. I talked to him. Prepared myself for what I wasn't sure was coming. Being barely 20, and a little afraid of the next phase that was quickly coming in my life.
What a special little spirit he was! We had such fun being buddies for those two and a half years before Chloe and Chayse came. There is not an experiance in the world than welcoming your first child into your life. Happy birthday to Crea and Happy "Birth" Day to me, because it was truly the start of what I was suppose to do in life. Thanks Buddy and I love you!

Go Big Blue!!

Football season is almost over and I haven't posted any pictures! We have had a great season so far with only losing one game! We have a great strong team and a great support system with the parents!! Crea plays center and is #32.
These pictures are from their first game, that they got to play in Boise State Stadium on the infamous blue turf!! Very exciting!!

Walkin' in the River... (Be advised..it's gross!!)

We went to a friends house to swim in the river. Things were going great when Crea and his cute little friend Maddie came floating up saying that Crea stepped on a rock and cut his foot. Not thinking it was anything big, we went to look at it, were we ever wrong!! It was about a five inch slice right on the ball of his foot. We decided that he would probably need stitches. I took him in while my awesome friend, Abby, kept the girls... the following is Crea's first experiance getting stitches! I have to say though he was a very strong boy and handled it like a champ!

Pinewood Derby... Need I say more

After alot of blood and sweat we finally had our Scouts Pinewood Derby!! Cam has been looking forward to this day since, I think, Crea was born!

You know there is a science to building these cars and you have to handle them with care! I don't know how many times crea was lectured on the correct way to hold and walk with your car!

All the hard work paid off- Crea got 2nd in his pack- of about 9 boys! The little boy who got 1st also took the overall time in the entire race...

It was a great night! It is always fun though to have a family night where all we do is cheer one of

us on! I think it is a great way to get closer.

The pictures are of Crea getting ready for the race; The 1st place finish photo; him with car and certificates; the infamous "Silver Bullet"!!

Reba or Bust

Here is a picture of my and my handsome date!! The monkey and me went to the Reba and Kelly Clarkson concert for Monkey's birthday in October.. I know I am a little late... We had such a great time!! That is all he wanted for his birthday, which wasn't a big shock since he has been in love with Reba since he was 4! We went to Burger King before and then to the concert and got home at about 11:30- on a school night.. ooohhh! But I have to tell you it was a very special night with just me and my boy. While we were at BK a young dad came over to me and said "I just had to had to tell you, that you just don't see boys this age that are as polite and look as well dressed as your son does." Ahh what a proud mom moment. It makes you think for just one second that you might actually be doing something right!! Needless to say I was very proud and felt very luck to be Monkey's mom!
Oh and I just this picture of Reba (out of the 75 Monkey took- big mistake giving him free reign of the camera!) because this was one of his favorite parts of the concert- he thought it was so neat that Reba teared up because of the audiences reaction to a song! I admit it was neat though!
